New album, new line-up + new shows! (UPDATED)

New line-up Space Angel welcomes Angels Andy Button on drums, Al Scott (from Oysterband) on second guitar and bass (alternating with Allan), and Kairen Kemp on guest vocals. They join Angels christopher and Allan in a new expanded version of the band.

As well as lead guitar, christopher will also be playing piano and keyboards.

Festival appearance Space Angel returned to the live stage (as a trio) at legendary Brighton venue, The Prince Albert, on 29 March 2026, kicking off the all-day Rock4Dementia festival on a bill that included The Sixx, James Browne, Amber T, and rising indie stars Angelica Mode.

The Angels' set included favourites from the first LP, including 'Horoscopes/Void', 'Invisible Man', and 'Kintsugi', and closed with 'Night, Night', from forthcoming LP Afterburner.

In September, the band will return to live performance with an outdoor show at a Brighton street party – stand by for details.

New album for 2026 Meanwhile, the band are back in christopher's The Disreputable Gentleman's Club studio, recording third album 'Afterburner', due Autumn 2026 (date tbc), with further live-band sessions planned at Brighton Road Recording Studios.

Completed new songs so far include singles 'We the People' and 'Fallen Angels', plus 'More Than I', with further new tracks 'Falling', 'Captain Buzz, Forever!', 'Light is the Road', 'What to Say', 'Boris Bike to Yemen', and 'Night, Night' all in progress at the moment.

Fond farewells • Space Angel say a fond farewell to Angels Fabio (drums) and Alfo (keys, vocals) , after Fabio's family and work commitments and Alfo's health challenges made it impossible for them to continue with the band, or for the band to move forward with gigs and recording plans.

• Space Angel's debut album 'You Are Next' (2023) and follow-up 'DIVE!' (2025) are a testament to their enduring contributions to the band.

Forthcoming single 'Fallen Angels' is dedicated to them.
